For 30 years now the expropriation. pauperization. slave labor. suppression of basic human rights and freedoms. Russification. terror. mass deportations. and murder have been the marks of the Soviet occupation in Estonia and the other Baltic States of Latvia and Lithuania. However. the Estonian people have never lost hope to regain their freedom and independence. The 89th Congress. after extensive hearings. adopted unanimously the House Concurrent Resolution 416. where it is stated. that the Baltic peoples of Estonia.
