Our casualties have exceeded those of World War I and will soon exceed those on both sides of the Civil War. making this the second costliest war in U.S. history. second only to World War II. Look at the damage we have wreaked on South Vietnam. with 93.738 killed. 271.102 wounded and 1.212.000 stranded as refugees in their own country. huddled miserably in makeshift camps. barely sustained in life. What other country in the world is ever going to want to be so generously "saved" by the United States? Look at the damage to our national prestige.
