Session #91 · 1969–71

Speech #910050500

President. it is essential that we keep alive our memory of the totalitarianism of the Soviet Union. We must never forget that even today millions of people are denied even a semblance of selfdetermination. It seems easier for us to remember the thousands upon thousands of refugees who still wander the face of the globe in search of a place to call homemen and women along with their children who fled oppression and tyranny in the hopes of finding a place to live and breathe in freedom. I am proud of the way we have lived up to our reputation of having a big heart. We have fed the hungry.
