Discrimination in housing was outlawed by Federal statute last year. President Johnson was the first Chief Executive to appoint a Negro to the Supreme Court and to the Cabinet. He has also appointed many women to positions of importance. Finally. during the Johnson years. the immigration laws were changed to make our entrance requirements truly consistent with the American ideals of democracy and equality between men. Lyndon Baines Johnson has cared about the people of the United States and the world. A study of his messages and addresses shows his deep concern for decent housing for all Americans. decent jobs. education facilities. opportunities. and environment.
