Mr. President. the Assembly for Human Rights. which convened in Montreal March 22 to 27. received a great deal of encouragement from organizations vitally interested in the field of human rights. Messages of support came from the Food and Agriculture Organization. World Health Organization. United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The Canadian Government. from Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson. the Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial Foundation. and the World Council of Churches.
