I wish to call attention to two articles in the Washington Post of April 29. One is a letter to the editor by a merchant. threatened because of his race. looted. denied adequate police protection. and forced to surrender the source of his livelihood. Another is a feature story by a Post reporter. It is entitled "Negro Militants Force Immigrant To Close His Grocery Store." The story tells how a Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany was again subjected to antiSemitism and racismthis time in the National Capital of the United States. The Congress is vitally concerned about the rights of all the peoples in Washington. D.C.
