ICEM will be mentioned specifically as a cooperating agency in a technical assistance agreement presently being negotiated between Belgium and Ecuador. The same is expected to occur in an agreement between Belgium and Colombia. ICEM has no office in the Netherlands. but works closely with the Netherlands Emigration Service. which has assigned two staff members to work on selective migration. The Netherlands Government has a very active emigration policy and views ICEM as a useful agency for implementing its movemerfs to Latin America.
