You made the statement that I know what has happened in Florida. I do not know everything that happens in Florida. but I do know this. that under some of our relief programs we have been more generous with the refugees from Cuba than we have with our own citizens of the United States. I know there was a time when we were giving $200 a month to Cuban refugees and we were requiring our people at the same time to live on. maybe. $75 a month. That is not fair. and I do not want any provision in this bill to give preferential treatment to a Cuban or any other noncitizen of the United States. That is the thing I want to tell you about.
