Mr. Speaker. my concern for the quality of health care in this country lead me on April 5. to introduce H.R. 8062. a bill to provide that in the administration of the Immigration and Nationality Act certain immigration restrictions shall not apply to certain alien doctors and nurses participating In exchange programs. The bill would relax stringent application of the provisions of the Cultural Exchange Act In order to allow qualified medical doctors and nurses to remain in this country to help alleviate our shortage of health personnel.
