Mr. President. we sometimes let ourselves be convinced that the days of "America. land of opportunity." are over and that the journey from the bottom to the top is almost impossible to travel in as dramatic a way as formerly. On July 6 of this year. the Detroit News published a story about the four Bardha brothers. penniless immigrants from Albania 10 years ago and today successful businessmen with their own homes. Their years of frugal living. hard work. and training have paid off. This modern Horatio Alger story is good medicine for all of us. I ask unanimous consent that it be printed in the RECORD.
