In keeping with this spirit I today have introduced legislation which would grant to aliens serving in the U.S. Armed Forces after January 1. 1963. exemptions from the normal naturalization process. This country has led the way for the world in caring for her veterans and survivors. It has in the past. out of gratitude. welcomed alien veterans who have borne the battle as true sons.
