Dr. Lloyd served as adviser to the Expert Committee on Health Statistics of the World Health Organization on the Review of the International Classification of Dental Diseases. That same year. he helped to successfully resolve the problem of Cuban refugee dentists in the Miami area by arranging for the assignment of a Public Health Service dental officer to supervise the refugee clinic. by encouraging the development of shortterm refresher for the Cuban dentists. and by coordinating these activities with those of the American Dental Association. There are few areas in dentistry in the Public Health Service that have not felt the impact of Dr. Lloyds able leadership and contributions.
