Mr. President. the Senator may not be. but I shall let him be the judge of that. The Senator from Florida is stating what is a fact. namely. that the bill. as it is now disclosed on the floor. assumes to open the door to immigration to this country equally wide to people from all the countries of the world. making no distinction between them. except on the basis of communism. I do not believe my distinguished friend excluded that. and that is an excluded situation that I think we should state for the RECORD. Except for that. the Oriental. the African. the Malayan. and various other people from all parts of the earth are to be equally accepted for immigration into this country and for admission to citizenship. All I am calling attention to is that many people in my State of Florida do not agree with that principle. and they have objected to it.
