Yet. under the new legislation there would be an increase in quotas for such countries as Trinidad. Jamaica. Tanzia. Malawi. Yemen. and Nepal. and it would seem that persons with special skills needed in the United States might be very hard to find in those countries. Besides. these countries need the services of their talented and trained people more than we do if they hope to build a better economy. The United States need make no apologies for its immigration policies which already are far more liberal than other countries and in view of the fact that other advanced nations are selective in dealing with immigrants * * *.
