Session #89 · 1965–67

Speech #890138325

Mr. President. I support the pending legislation which amends the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 because I sincerely believe that it makes necessary and needed changes in existing law. These changes. in my opinion. protect the national security. as well as the economic wellbeing of this Nation. The very able and distinguished Senator from Massachusetts . the very able and distinguished Senator from Michigan . as well as the very able and distinguished Senator from North Carolina . have previously pointed out in detail the provisions of the pending measure. Therefore. I will not take the time of the Senate to repeat what has already been adequnately and fully explained.
