It reads as follows: On his sentimental visit to Ireland in June of 1963. he stood at the spot from which Patrick Kennedy embarked. and said: "When my greatgrandfather left here to become a cooper in East Boston. he carried nothing with him except a strong religious faith and a strong desire for liberty. If he hadnt left. I would be working at the Albatross Co. across the road." I believe that that is an inspiration for all the immigrants who will come to the United States in the future. It will enable them to stop working at the Albatross Co. and perhaps become President of the United States. I should also like to express my appreciation for the role played in this legislation by Attorney General Katzenbach.
