In response to the Senators suggestion. the committee added this language to its report. on page 27. as follows: The committee discussed the status of refugees from the Dominican Republic and is of the opinion the refugees who fled the country as a result of the recent rebellion may be considered within the provisions of section 203 (a) (7) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. as added by H.R. 2580. as well as under section 245 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. as amended. Those are the provisions in section 203(a) (7) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. the adjustments and changes which were made in the proposed legislation.
