Session #89 · 1965–67

Speech #890136563

While these figures in and of themselves are not alarming. the trend which they reflect is greatly alarming. In many nations of South America. most of the land is owned by persons who can only properly be called land barons. They show no interest whatever in taking a course of action which would provide for wide diffusion of ownership of the land among their people. If the United States places a limitation upon immigration from those countries. notice would be served on these land barons that they would have to do something like that which is suggested in the eighth verse of the fifth chapter of First Timothy. namely. look after some of their own household.
