Mr. Chairman. I yield myself 15 minutes. Mr. Chairman and Members of the Committee. as I indicated yesterday. over the years I have made many speeches against the socalled national origins theory of immigration. but my speeches apparently fell on deaf ears. My efforts were about as useless as trying to make a tiger eat grass or a cow eat meat. The result was a purely abortive effort. But patience is bitter but yields rich fruit. The dawn of the national origins theory has set. and it will be cast into midnight of darkness by this bill. which I am sure will have an overwhelmingly favorable vote.
