The national acceptance of the principle of one man. one vote. foretells the end of the exclusion of agricultural employment from the coverage of State and Federal laws regarding minimum wages. health. and sanitation. employment insurance. workmens compensation. and collective bargaining. Farm machinery is paid for at rates comparable to those for factory machinery. So should farmworkers be paid at comparable rates. and accorded comparable working conditions. Mr. Speaker. under unanimous consent.
