This group is assisting the Womens Job Corps in finding young women who want and need the Job Corps program. Through local chapters. they talk with these girls. encourage them to apply. interview and screen them. as well as assist them in various other ways. Other groups have been set up through the cooperation of two or more faiths. The Michigan Migrant Opportunity. Inc.. was organized by the Michigan Council of Churches and the Michigan Catholic Conference and has received a grant from the Office of Economic Opportunity to assist in their work with migrants. Religious leaders from the Jewish. Catholic. and Protestant faiths held a conference in March to discuss their participation in the VISTA program.
