Therefore. I have today introduced a concurrent resolution calling upon the Congress to request the President to bring the Baltic States question before the United Nations and requesting this international body to have the Soviet Union withdraw all Soviet troops and other forces from Lithuania. Latvia. and Estonia. as well as to return to their homes all Baltic exiles and deportees now being held in various Soviet prisons and slavelabor camps. While there is no overt action we can take. we must make it fully clear to all freedomloving peoples that our conscience will not be clear until these nations have regained their free and sovereign status.
