I received a letter from the distinguished mayor of the city of New York. Hon. Robert F. Wagner. In his letter. Mayor Wagner enclosed a resolution adopted by the Commission on Human Rights of the City of New York. The resolution endorses and strongly recommends the enactment of the immigration bill. S. 500. and the House companion bill. H.R. 2580. These bills embody the proposals recommended to Congress by the President of the United States in his message to Congress on the subject of immigration. I ask unanimous consent that the mayors letter and the text of the commissions resolution be printed at this point in the RECORD.
