The gentlemans question is a fair one. and I am sure we should deal with it in terms of statistics. I think we can get that for the RECORD. Mr. Speaker. in response to the request of the gentleman from California [Mr. Moss]. I have been advised by the Department of Labor that during the period extending from July 1. 1964. through March 24. 1965. the Secretary of Labor certified 387 requests for immigration from Mexico to work in agriculture in this country. I think this is an important figure to have. as the gentleman has suggested. and I think it is further and significant information that the need for farm labor is being met by American workers. Mr.
