Session #89 · 1965–67

Speech #890031385

Mr. President. fewif anyAmericans speak with more understanding and compassion of the contributions made to our Nation by immigrants than the distinguished author and editor. Harry Golden. A few days ago. at the dedication of a new liberal arts building at Charlotte College. Mr. Golden recalled some of these contributions both to North Carolina and to our national culture. As Congress looks again to the question of "whom we shall welcome." we have in Mr. Goldens remarks a timely reminder of our true heritage. Mr. President. I ask unanimous consent that Mr. Goldens address be printed at this point in the RECORD.
