I want to compliment the gentleman on the very full and illuminating statement with regard to the subject of immigration. I recognize that the gentleman as chairman of the important Subcommittee on Immigration has an extremely important task before him in this session of the Congress. I would like to ask the gentleman with respect to the subject of hearings on legislation because I know that I and other Members are getting a great deal of mail on the subject. What is the schedule with regard to the hearings on the administration bill or other legislation on the subject of immigration?
