Last month. State Senator Calabrese appeared before the platform committee of the Democratic National Convention and spoke on many important topics of particular interest to the Order of Sons of Italy and all Americans. Perhaps one of the most important was the administration immigration bill which would revise our outmoded and discriminatory immigration laws. I am glad to say that I am a cosponsor of the administration immigration bill and am in complete agreement with the views expressed with Senator Calabrese in his statement before the platform committee. I commend his views and those of the organization he represents to my colleagues and ask unanimous consent that they be printed in the RECORD at this point as part of my remarks.
