S. 1932. made by the Republican vicepresidential nominee in his Labor Day address in South Bend. Ind. As Senators will recall. the gentleman from New York berated this bipartisan bill in a fashion designed to play on economic fears and ancient prejudices reminiscent of the "knownothing" days of American history.
