Mr. Speaker. I wish to draw the attention of my colleagues to an editorial in yesterdays New York Times urging revision of the immigration law before the end of this session. I have introduced H.R. 7740 which would do so. The editorial is completely correct In pointing out "The United States will not fully have mounted its war against discrimination until it revises its unfair immigration law." Our present immigration law based on the national origin of this countrys population in 1920 is indeed discriminatory and violates our democratic principles.
