Mr. Speaker. in pursuing our Nations campaign for freedom among all the peoples of the world. there is no worthier cause than that of the freedomloving people of the Baltic states of Lithuania. Latvia. and Estonia. Many immigrants and offspring of immigrants from these Baltic nations now reside in the WaukeganNorth Chicago area of my 12th Congressional District in Illinois. It is natural. therefore. that these American citizens should be working particularly for their relatives and friends overseas whose freedom was stamped out when the Soviets moved in. in the course of World War II. Mr. Speaker. a select committee of this House determinedin 1954that the involuntary incorporation of Lithuania.
