In order to relieve any anxiety on the part of growers. particularly in CaliforniaI know that people in California are major users of the bracerosI am working on a program which would bring order where growers think there might be chaos. the program would operate through the U.S. Employment Services and would match workers with jobs. It would set up a system allocating the supply of loan to the job demand. The Senator from Florida and I have discussed this situation. We have cooperated in many programs. Some of the benefits are already being provided in the States. I refer to services like those provided under the Health Migrant ActPublic Law 87692. I see our employment service stabilization billS. 527as offering the same kind of hope to agricultural communities.
