A few weeks ago I was somewhat dismayed to learn. following a routine inquiry of the Subcommittee on Immigration. that the subcommittee has before it now. in the files. several hundred private immigration bills and that following routine action on some of these pending bills. it will be impossible for private immigration bills submitted early in the 88th Congress to be considered before well into the 89th Congress. is that the fact?
