I express the hope that that committee can reorganize itself with a view toward reducing the number of subcommittees of the Committee on the Judiciary. As I pointed out a while ago. there are 14 subcommittees of the Committee on the Judiciary. I realize that one of the subcommittees deals with claims. and claims result in many bills that come to the Senate for consideration. The subcommittee dealing with questions relating to immigration and naturalization may be necessary. But even in those two cases there should be cuts made. There is no use arguing about the various resolutions pertaining to the Judiciary Committee.
