The Miami News quite accurately reflects the attitude of most of my constituents on this matter. I might also add that nearly all civic organizations. governing bodies. both muncipal and county. together with hundreds of private citizens have written me urging favorable House action on the Area Redevelopment Act. Our area has suffered adversely because of the tremendous number of Cuban refugees that we have absorbed with the resultant adverse impact on the local labor market. We hope to qualify for ARA assistance under the provisions of this act. and we are badly in need of this help. I am hopeful that the ARA bill will be successful when it is again presented to the House of Representatives. [From the Miami (Fla.) News.
