Archbishop Lucey. of San Antonio. who CIX956 is close to the problem of Mexican migrants. Archbishop Vehr. of Denver. Colo.. a State where migrant workers are used in considerable numbers. Bishop Woznicki. of Saginaw. Mich.. a State in which a large number of these workers are employed. and Bishop Schenk. of Duluth. Minn.. who before that was located in Crookston. in the Red River Valley. in which Mexican migrants used to be employed but where now domestic migrant workers are employed in relatively large numbers. These are the men on the committee. They are men who are close to the problem. They are not writing from their libraries or theological seminaries. They are men who have had to deal with the daybyday problems of migrants and persons who have been displaced because of the influx of migratory workers. This is the position of the committee on which these distinguished clergymen serve. They say: Our committee is united with many other civic and religious groups. labor organizations. etc. that have fully studied and fought against Public Law 78.
