Session #88 · 1963–65

Speech #880070795

At this time I also wish to commend. once again. the distinguished Senator from New Jersey for the way in which he has skillfully generaled Senate bill 1642 through the Senate. This is getting to be a habit with him. because earlierin one afternoon. I believehe was able to get through this body five very worthwhile bills having to do with migrant workers. I also wish to extend my compliments to the distinguished Senator from New York . who with his usual keenness and understanding has .been able to explain in a very few words what the bill means and its importance to the Nations economy. I would be remiss in the performance of my duty if I did not pay a compliment to the distinguished Senator from Virginia . the chairman of the full committee. who cooperated in such great degree with the other members of the committee and with the leadership in bringing the bill to the Senate and in having it considered here.
