BOB SIKES was reared on a farm near Sylvester. Ga. He attended the University of Georgia where he received his bachelor of science degree in agriculture in 1927. He then went to the University of Florida on a fellowship and earned his masters degree in 1929. That he saw greener pastures in the Sunshine State is not an uncommon practice for Georgians as many of our finest citizens today can be traced as immigrants from old mother Georgia.
