Mr. Speaker. many of us will agree that President Kennedy deported himself well on his tour of Europe. His homely visit to his fatherland struck the intimate pride of anyone with ancestors in Europe. The syntax and word selection of his speeches were brilliant. However. another facet of the tour worries many of our citizens. For the considered. erudite view of the "loyal opposition." I commend the following editorial from the Monterey Peninsula Herald. by Allen Griffin. editor and publisher. President John F. Kennedys visit to Europe is an llfated tour that will bring no benefits to the United States and that possibly could bring ill fortune to Europe.
