Mr. Chairman. I take this time to -thank the distinguished chairman of the full committee which brings this bill to the floor of the House for the consideration given to several problems relating to my district in the matter of Cuban refugees. There are some 200.000 who have come into this country. 150.000 have not been resettled out of the area I represent. and this constitutes a difficult problem in the employment market. Our area had unemployment problems of its own prior to the arrival of the Cuban refugees. Everyone can readily appreciate that the influx of 150.000 people creates quite an additional employment . problem. The unemployment rate now .is around 10 percent. having climbed - from about 6 percent.
