Session #88 · 1963–65

Speech #880051640

Mr. President. on May 22 the distinguished senior Senator from Hawaii addressed the Chinese Refugee Relief Committee. which was meeting in Washington. Throughout his career. Senator FONG has had a keen interest in the plight of the homeless of all lands. This address is another expression of his knowledge and concern about both refugees and ethnic groups which have made important contributions to the plural society of which we in the United States are so rightly proud. I ask unanimous consent that the remarks by Senator FONG before the Chinese Refugee Relief Committee on May 22 be printed at this point in the RECORD.
