The other body changed that date from June 28. 1940. to December 24. 1952. We do not think that this should be done. We think it puts a premium on the ability to hide. If there are meritorious cases. then we feel we can deal with them adequately through existing suspension of deportation laws or through private legislation. As a matter of fact.
