Your activity in the fields of civic and social welfare has made each of your groups a valuable and vital force for good in the areas in which you operate. It is. of course. especially interesting to me as the son of an immigrant that many of your societies have roots in European cultures and linguistic groupings. It is heartening to see that in these fraternal organizations. the members have managed to retain the finest parts of their cultural and social heritage while becoming the most staunchly loyal of Americans.
