I have just been advised that the Senate has amended some private bills by adding bills that the subcommittee on immigration tabled because they are very bad bills. The Senate has taken these bills and added them to the bills that we passed. and has sent them back here. I just want the Members to know that we will not accept the Senate amendments. and it seems to me what we ought to do is to make the Senate understand that we have a rule of germaneness and we are going to insist that they comply with the rule of germaneness.
