Miss Mary Agnes Amberg. of Chicagos West Side. left wealth and society to spend her life to advance the social training and thinking of thousands of children of the early immigrant families and their offspring for the past 62 years. Her death closes the career of a brilliant and distinguished woman who. by her Christian principles of endeavor. influenced the lives of the generations of children growing into manhood and womanhood. It was a rare coincidence that one locality. in such dire need of the leadership and benevolent influence of. social instruction. was the recipient of her talented efforts to mold the social conscience of the future citizens of our community.
