While continuing to donate food to those who cannot help themselves. to droughtand floodstricken areas. to. refugees. to hungry schoolchildren throughout the world. we have emphasized the use of our agricultural abundance to initiate selfhelp projects for longrange social and economic development. The food for peace program manifests the practical humanitarian convictions of the American people.
