It is a week of special significance to us in New York City because of the great number of Iron Curtain refugees who now make their home in New York and who are joined by a fierce and indissoluble bond pf their relatives and friends who remain enslaved. I imn proud that a member of the council of the city of New York from my district. the Honorable Thomas J. Cuite. is a sponsor of this observance in our city and has played a key role in these observances.
