The American Friends Service Committee and the AFLCIO have also undertaken projects of great importance. both in Africa and in the United States. ranging from the resettlement of Algerian refugees to the finding of summer jobs for foreign students studying In the United States. All these efforts are deserving of widespread notice. as they illustrate many of the problems we face in regard to the newly emerging nations of Africa. and many of the means by which private citizens and organizations. as well as the Federal Government. can work to promote better relations with these new nations. Therefore.
