President. we have had quite complete experience with such situations. in connection with the border between East Germany and West Germany and the situation existing between the East German Government and the Government of the German Federal Republic. until very recently. I hail with satisfaction the fact that the Chinese Nationalist Government now appears to be agreeing to take a substantial number of these refugees from Communist China. and I speak with the greatest unhappiness in regard to any thought of returning them or transporting them back. as the British have thought they had to do. from Hong Kong.
