Resolved. That the House of RepresentatiVes hereby expresses its profound sense of indignation and shock at the growing antiSemitism and the campaign of hate and persecution being conducted against the Jewish people in the Soviet Union. SEC. 2. (a) The President is requested to convey to the Soviet Union an expression of the grave concern of the people of the United States over this growing antiSemitism. and to seek assurances that prompt and appropriate action will be taken to stop all forms of bigotry and race hatred against the Jewish people now living in the Soviet Union. (b) The President is further requested to urge the Soviet Union to allow all Jewish persons within their borders who desire to do so to emigrate and to seek refuge and salvation in Israel and other free lands. SEC. 3. The President is requested to take all possible immediate steps. through the United States delegation to the United Nations. to bring before the United Nations and before the bar of world opinion the .facts about the cruel mistreatment of Jewish people living within the Soviet Union. to the end that such mistreatment shall cease.
