In summary. the conference agreement on H.R. 7377 authorizes the establishment of 465 additional supergradetype positions and 280 additional scientifictype positions. The conferees earmarked certain of these supergrade positions for particular agencies. Immigration and Naturalization is given six positions. in addition to any such supergrade positions that they now have by specific authority or which have been allocated to them out of the total available to the Civil Service Commission. The Federal Home Loan Bank Board is given four positions in addition to those allocated to them out of the total available to the Civil Service Commission. It also authorizes the placing of 40 additional positions in levels 17. 18. 19. and 20 of the postal field schedule.
